INSTRUCTOR:
Jean
Dible:
Jean is a certified
instructor for ServSafe, Experior,
and The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals and currently teaches all food safety classes in English. Native interpreters translate foreign language classes.
Jean earned a BS degree in foods/ Nutrition and Education from the University
of Puget Sound, located in Tacoma, Washington. Ms Dible’s
experience, as a teaching adult educator in
foods and nutrition, was when she worked as a County Agent (Cooperative
Extension Agent) for Washington
State University and The
University of Arizona. Jean has also worked in the foodservice
industry in the Atlanta area. Ms. Dible is president and founder of Consumer Education Services, a food safety certification school.
TRANSLATORS:
Richard
G.
- Chinese Translator: Richard is part Chinese and lived in Taiwan, China
during his adolescence school years. Richard's father worked for the United
Nations, so Richard has lived throughout the world and actually speaks
several languages. High school graduation for Richard was at the International
School of London, located in England and he also earned a BS degree in
Nuclear Physics from the University
of Michigan. Richard is currently working on a master's degree in
Nuclear Physics at Georgia Technology. Richard has also earned a ServSafe
certification, and both he and his Chinese bride have worked in the
foodservice industry.
Ha
Su
- Vietnamese Translator: Ha was
born and raised in Vietnam. Ms. Su came to the United States in 1992 and
attended Clarkston High School, where she graduated in 1996. Ms. Su
continued her education and earned an Associate degree in Business
Administration and a BA degree in Computer Information Systems from GA
State University in 2001. Ha Su translates English into Vietnamese in
the classroom for Ms. Dible.
Carolina
Ortiz /Parra - Spanish
Translator: Carolina was born and raised in Colombia, South America.
Carolina graduated from The University of Konrad
Lorenz University in Bogota, Colombia with a BA, as well as a Master's
degree in Psychology. After her two initial degrees, Carolina attended the
Isca School of English in
Exeter, England and studied English as a second language. Ms. Ortiz moved
to the United States and settled in the Atlanta metro area in 2000.
Carolina married a native Georgian and currently works in the food service
industry, as well as using her translation talents for food safety
classes. Carolina has also earned a ServSafe
certification.
Jessica
Park - Korean
Translator:
Jessica
was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, but has been in the United States for
over ten years. Mrs. Park earned a degree in Hotel & Restaurant
Management from Bergen Community College & F.D.U in New Jersey.
Jessica was food safety certified in New Jersey, as part of her degree and
has also earned a ServSafe
certification in Georgia.
TUTORS:
All
foreign translators also engage in tutoring students on a private basis.
The fee for tutoring Food Safety students
prior to a class is $20.00 per hour, and the minimum tutoring time is
five-hours. Tutors will only be available to work with students in the
Atlanta metro area. The tutor will contact the student needing help on an
individual basis, and arrangements concerning the physical location, time,
date, and hours needed, will be between the tutor and the student. If
